Bonifacio Camacho National High School held a coordination dialogue with Abucay Tricycle Association President Manolito Baluyot and other representatives to discuss the need for a more organized and orderly loading and unloading of passengers, particularly learners, near the school premises.

The discussion centered on promoting learner safety, improving traffic flow, reducing congestion, and ensuring that students are picked up and dropped off in safer and more appropriate areas during arrival and dismissal time.

Purpose of the Coordination

Safer Pick-Up and Drop-Off

To help ensure that learners board and alight from tricycles in areas that are safer, more visible, and less exposed to traffic risks.

Orderly Traffic Movement

To prevent obstruction near the school gate, pedestrian pathways, and other areas used by learners before and after classes.

Community Cooperation

To strengthen shared responsibility among the school, transport sector, parents, local officials, and the wider community.

During the dialogue, the school respectfully requested the cooperation of tricycle drivers in observing proper loading and unloading practices. Drivers were encouraged to avoid unnecessary waiting, parking, or stopping in areas that may block learners, pedestrians, or other vehicles.

Request for Orderly Loading and Unloading

The school emphasized that the request is not only about traffic management, but more importantly about protecting learners as they travel to and from school. A more organized system helps reduce possible risks, confusion, and congestion during peak school hours.

Safety Reminders Discussed

Use appropriate pick-up and drop-off points.

Learners should be allowed to board and alight only in areas where they can safely move away from traffic.

Keep the school entrance clear.

Tricycles should avoid blocking the school gate and pathways used by students, parents, teachers, and other pedestrians.

Maintain discipline during peak hours.

Drivers, learners, and parents are encouraged to cooperate so that movement near the school remains orderly and safe.

Prioritize learner welfare.

All transport-related practices near the school should support learner protection, road safety, and community discipline.

The school recognizes that many learners rely on tricycles as their daily mode of transportation. For this reason, regular coordination with local transport groups is an important step in promoting a safer and more learner-friendly school environment.

For Tricycle Drivers

Drivers are encouraged to observe proper loading and unloading practices, avoid obstructing school access areas, and help maintain order near the school premises.

For Learners and Parents

Learners and parents are reminded to use safe pick-up and drop-off areas, follow safety reminders, and cooperate with school personnel and transport partners.

Bonifacio Camacho National High School expresses its appreciation to Abucay Tricycle Association President Manolito Baluyot and the association’s members for their willingness to coordinate with the school and support measures that promote learner safety, road discipline, and community cooperation.

Through continued partnership with the transport sector and the community, the school remains committed to creating a safer, more organized, and more learner-friendly environment inside and outside the school premises.
