Student Welfare

Bonifacio Camacho National High School supports learner welfare by promoting safety, dignity, participation, protection, access to support services, and positive school experiences for all learners.

About Student Welfare Services

Student welfare services focus on the general well-being of learners while they are in school. These services help ensure that learners are supported, protected, heard, and guided in matters that may affect their attendance, participation, safety, behavior, and school life.

The school works with learners, parents, guardians, teachers, class advisers, guidance personnel, health-related personnel, school officials, and appropriate partners to provide timely support and proper coordination when learner welfare concerns arise.

01

Learner Safety and Protection

Safe and Respectful School Environment

The school promotes learner safety, protection, respect, and proper reporting of concerns affecting student welfare.

Learners are encouraged to report safety concerns, bullying, harassment, abuse, discrimination, threats, or other incidents that may affect their welfare.

  • Support for learner safety and protection concerns
  • Promotion of respectful treatment among learners
  • Coordination with proper school personnel
  • Referral to authorized offices or agencies when necessary
02

Attendance and Participation Support

School Engagement and Follow-Up

The school supports learners who may be experiencing attendance problems, repeated absences, school adjustment concerns, or difficulty participating in school activities.

Attendance and participation support helps identify possible barriers to schooling and encourages learners to remain engaged in their education.

  • Monitoring of learner attendance concerns
  • Follow-up through class advisers and teachers
  • Parent or guardian coordination when needed
  • Support for learners at risk of disengagement

Student Concerns and Referral

Student concerns are handled through proper channels to ensure that learners receive appropriate support while maintaining respect and confidentiality.

  • Receiving and documenting learner concerns
  • Referral to guidance, health, academic, or administrative support
  • Coordination with parents or guardians when necessary
  • Follow-up based on the nature of the concern
04

Basic Needs Coordination

Support Through School and Partners

The school may coordinate support for learners who need assistance related to basic school needs, learning participation, food, hygiene, or other welfare-related concerns.

Basic needs coordination is done through school personnel, parents, guardians, and available stakeholders or partner organizations, depending on the learner’s need and available resources.

  • Identification of learners needing welfare-related assistance
  • Coordination with advisers and parents or guardians
  • Referral to appropriate school or community support
  • Linkage with stakeholders when available and appropriate

Strong school-home coordination helps ensure that learners receive proper guidance, follow-up, and support when welfare concerns affect their schooling.

  • Parent or guardian consultation and follow-up
  • Coordination with class advisers and concerned personnel
  • Support for attendance, behavior, and participation concerns
  • Shared responsibility for learner welfare and development

How Learners May Access the Service

Learners may approach their class adviser, subject teacher, guidance personnel, school office, or any trusted school personnel for welfare-related concerns. Parents and guardians may also coordinate with the school for learner safety, attendance, participation, behavior, or support needs.

Important Reminder

Student welfare services provide school-based support, coordination, documentation, and referral. They do not replace professional medical care, legal action, psychological treatment, or emergency response. For urgent safety, health, or protection concerns, immediate assistance from parents, guardians, barangay authorities, health professionals, law enforcement, or emergency service providers may be necessary.

Our Commitment

Bonifacio Camacho National High School remains committed to protecting learner dignity, promoting student well-being, and ensuring that learners are supported in a safe, respectful, inclusive, and caring school environment.
